About 1 Million Cups

Organizer Summit

What did the 2021 1 Million Cups Organizer Summit look like?

Because we believe in your local leadership, we put supporting you as leaders at the forefront of our content and built the Summit on a foundation of trust. Since we came together virtually in 2021, it was our top priority to create a warm virtual space that allowed enthusiasm, ideas, and sharing to thrive. At this year’s Summit, attendees experienced:

  • Virtual environment
  • Virtual photo booth
  • Interactive firestarter sessions on Tuesday, July 13
  • Connections, collaboration and story sharing with organizers nationwide
  • Sharing of information highlighting the impact of your efforts
  • Follow-up workshops: Facilitated collaborative deeper dives into Tuesday’s topics on Thursday, July 15 and Friday, July 16

Anti-Harassment Policy

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s convenings are intended to allow for productive, engaged, and thoughtful exchanges of ideas and respectful interactions amongst participants. Discrimination and harassment undermine those objectives, whether based on sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, age or religion. The Foundation prohibits and does not tolerate such behavior at or in conjunction with its convenings, including but not limited to unwelcome advances and/or language, imagery, or behavior that is sexual or otherwise offensive, as determined by the Foundation at its discretion. In addition to other consequences, participants who the Foundation deems in violation of these standards may be expelled from the event and prohibited from other engagements with Foundation-supported activities. Our anti-harassment policy can be found here.
